Everyone,
The Union recently resolved a grievance involving shift differential pay under Section 14.2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. During the grievance process, it was discovered that some employees were not receiving the proper shift differential pay required by the CBA.
Pursuant to Section 14.2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement:
“All work performed on assigned shifts between the hours of 2000 and 0600 Monday through Friday, and all work performed on weekend shifts between 12:01 a.m. Saturday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday, shall be paid an additional $0.30 per hour.”
Please take a moment to review your pay stubs and verify that you are receiving the appropriate shift differential pay.
You may be entitled to an additional $0.30 per hour if you work:
• Overnight shifts between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM (Monday–Friday)• Any hours worked on a weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday)
As a result of the grievance, management reviewed the issue and affected employees have been made whole. However, the Union encourages all members to review their pay records to ensure they are receiving the proper differential pay going forward.
If you believe you have not been properly compensated, please:
1. Notify your direct supervisor; and2. Submit a concern ticket through the Union website so the Union can assist in reviewing the matter.

Thank you to the members who brought this issue to the Union’s attention. This matter demonstrates the importance of reviewing your pay stubs and reporting potential contract violations promptly. When members speak up, the Union can investigate, enforce the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and work to ensure employees receive the pay they have earned.
The Union is committed to protecting your contractual rights and ensuring every member receives the wages and benefits they are entitled to under the CBA.
